How will my balloon gift be delivered?

Your balloon gift will be sent using Royal Mail First Class or Guaranteed Special Delivery. You can have the gift delivered on the date of your choice (Monday to Saturday - except Bank Holidays). Royal Mail will deliver your gift before 1:00pm (or 5.00pm for First Class) to most UK addresses. A signature will be required with guaranteed delivery.

What happens if my recipient is out?

If no-one is available to sign for the gift, then a card will be left so that the recipient can collect the box from their local delivery office or rearrange delivery

When do I have to order for next day delivery?

If you place your order before 5:00pm, we offer guaranteed next day delivery to most UK addresses except some remote parts of Scotland. For orders placed Saturday & Sunday the next delivery date would be Tuesday.

How do I know that you have sent my order?

We will send you a confirmation email as soon as your order has been sent.

Do you accept orders for anywhere in the UK?

Yes, we deliver to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. However, there are certain, remote parts of Scotland where delivery by Royal Mail takes two to three days, so please place your order well in advance.

Can Balloon in a box deliver to a business address?

We can deliver your gift anywhere in the UK. Royal Mail will usually leave your gift delivery at reception, so make sure that you clearly specify the person's name and if applicable the department that they work for - this will ensure that the balloon gift gets to them as quickly as possible.

Can I send a get well gift to a patient in hospital?

Yes you can send balloon gifts to hospitals. Your gift will usually be delivered to the hospital's post room, so make sure you specify the person's name and the ward or department they are staying in this will ensure your gift gets to them as quickly as possible.

Do you deliver Balloon gifts abroad?

At present we only deliver our helium balloon gifts in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. We can take orders from international customers for delivery to a UK address.

I live abroad, but have friends and family in the UK, can I order a gift for them from your site?

Yes you can order balloon gifts from our site - as long as the gift is for someone who lives in the UK. We can process international payments.

What will my balloon gift or balloon bouquet look like?

To guarantee maximum impact, our balloon gifts are carefully placed in our personalised boxes. Inside, the box is generously lined with tissue paper and themed cellophane. As the recipient opens the box the balloon will gently float out. Your personal message will be written on a gift card and attached to the balloon. Our largest Balloon bouquets are sent in even larger white boxes! Your personal message will be printed on a gift card and attached to the balloon bouquet and a colourful weight to match your balloons.

How long will my helium balloons last?

With the right care and attention your balloon will float for 3 to 5 days . In the right conditions it might last weeks! To make your enjoyment of our gift balloons last longer, all our foil balloons can be refilled by taking them to your nearest helium balloon retailer. Your balloon is filled with helium gas and is sensitive to extreme temperature changes. This means it might appear deflated in cold air - to resolve the problem, simply put your balloon somewhere warm and it will expand again. Always remember to keep your balloon away from extreme heat however, as this could cause the helium to expand and the balloon to burst. Important:Foil balloons may conduct electricity and should not be released outside or used near overhead power lines. Always keep the weight attached to the balloon to prevent it from floating away.

What is helium?

Helium is the gas used to fill the balloons and make them float. Helium is an inert, lighter-than-air gas. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, odourless and colourless. However, helium is an asphyxiant and should never be inhaled.

Do Balloon in a box deliver any other balloons and gifts than those shown on the website?

If you are looking for a particular balloon or gift please contact us on sales@ballooninabox.co.uk or by telephone on (local rate) 0845 486 2060. We will, where possible, try to source the balloon or gift for you.

You mention 'Safe and secure online ordering'. Will my credit card payments be safe?

Yes. All your credit card payments on Balloon in a Box will be 100% secure. For added security and your peace of mind we use internet secure payment provider SagePay and Barclaycard, which ensures that all information is encrypted and all security measures are in place to ensure protection of your details.

I have a query about my order, who do I contact?

If you have any questions about your gift order, please contact us by email or phone.

Why do you ask for my email and telephone number?

We will contact you by email to confirm your order and to let you know that your gift has been sent on very rare occasions we might need to contact you if there is a problem with your order. It is crucial that you provide us a valid phone number and email address and check your email regularly.

What happens to our contact details?

The information we collect from you is used solely by Balloon in a Box. We do not sell it to any third party organisations. For more information of how we store customers contact details please read our Privacy Policy.

What is your returns policy?

Balloons are perishables and cannot be returned under the UK Distance Selling Regulations (2000). If a gift that is delivered is either faulty or incorrect or the you wish to return your order within 7 days of receipt, please contact us. How do I shop online?

We have tried to make shopping at Balloons in a box as easy as possible for you, the process should be clear but please contact us should you have any problems!

How do I pay?

We accept most major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Solo, Visa Electron and Dinners' Club International. All online payments are processed securely online using the Internet security payment provider SagePay and Barclaycard which ensures that all information is encrypted and all security measures are in place to ensure protection of your details.

Do I have to pay online?

You can choose how to pay and don't have to enter your credit or debit card details on the website. You can also order by telephone! Before you call, make a list of the product numbers of the items you want. The product numbers are shown on each product page.

Does the gift box state there are balloons inside the box?

We have a small returns address under the recipients address in very small print which is usually unnoticed. For orders delivered to Scotland & Northern Ireland we add an additional label 'balloons filled with non-flammable gas' for posting reasons.
